Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Shipping and Assembly Assistant to join our team. As an Assembly Line Technician, you will be responsible for assisting and training in the assembly and loading of large truck and equipment scales. Your duties will include reviewing schematics to ensure proper equipment and materials, operating overhead cranes to assist in loading of pieces, assembling scale components to the bridge as required by the work order, and following all safety protocols. If you have experience with overhead crane operation, order assembly, or steel manufacturing, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. In addition, you should be able to lift 60 pounds and work from a ladder or at heights as needed. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, and profit sharing. Hourly pay is between $18-$22/hour. Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3 years of shop experience, weld and fab shop preferred
- Overhead crane and tow motor operation
- Experience reading orders or schematics preferred
- Able to bend, lift, sit, and stand for 8 to 12 hours/day
- Able to work from a ladder or at heights as needed
- Use of hand tools as needed, some mechanical aptitude required
