Job Summary:

CBIZ Accounting Tax and Advisory of New York LLC is seeking a highly skilled Audit Associate to join our team. As an Audit Associate, you will be responsible for assisting in planning and executing audit assignments in various industries, including Real Estate, Construction, Nonprofit, and Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain an understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures.
  • Participate in client assignments from beginning to end, identifying and communicating audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior associates and interns on MHM audit methodology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet, and audit software.
  • Ability to travel based on client and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Public accounting experience working specifically within a Korean Practice desk/division.
  • Ability to use both Korean and English language skills in a business environment.
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • CPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is required.

Compensation:

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $69,000-$73,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
