Job Summary

St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join our team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Medical Services: Perform history and physical examinations, provide cost-effective and high-quality care, and make best efforts to adhere to standardized orders and practice guidelines.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide regular, timely, and appropriate communication with referring physicians, patients, and their families.
  • Manage Patient Care: Evaluate and implement patient health care needs, perform routine exams and obtain patient histories, and manage patient treatment programs.
  • Collaborate with Other Professionals: Coordinate patient care and make referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Maintain knowledge of current medical practices and skills, and comply with Network and departmental policies regarding issues of employee, patient, and environmental safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school and completion of residency and/or fellowship in area of specialty.
  • Training and Experience: Current or recent experience in area of specialty.
  • Licenses and Certifications: MD or DO - licensed by the state licensure board within the State of practice. Board Certified/Eligible in the area of specialty by the appropriate medical board.
