Care Companion Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Companion to join our team at Brethren Care Village. As a Care Companion, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional individualized care and services to our clients in their home environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring temperature, portions, and timeliness
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Do laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing
  • Assist with transportation and other client needs
  • Inform supervisor of client needs and concerns
  • Attend team meetings and participate in in-services as required
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Training in geriatrics or related prior work experience preferred
