Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a PTA, you will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide client services and support the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the preparation of clinical and daily progress notes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Perform routine strengthening and therapeutic exercises, and assist patients with the use of self-help devices.
  • Work with the Physical Therapist to instruct patients and families on exercise programs and provide education on proper use of equipment.
  • Identify potential medication issues and report to the Physical Therapist and physician as necessary.
  • Observe and record patient activities and findings, and report to the Physical Therapist and physician as necessary.
  • Consult with the Physical Therapist on the outcome of home visits and report physical findings.
  • Assist in the evaluation and development of a rehabilitative plan of care, and participate in periodic re-evaluation as required.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program or equivalent education.
  • Licensed to practice as a PTA in the State of Florida.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
  • Minimum of one year's experience in home healthcare preferred.
  • Electronic medical record experience is preferred but not essential.
