Job Summary

The Child Mind Institute is seeking a highly motivated and experienced clinical psychologist to join our team as a postdoctoral fellow in the ADHD and Behavior Disorders Center. As a postdoctoral fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team of clinicians and researchers to provide evidence-based treatments to children and adolescents with ADHD and behavior disorders.

The postdoctoral fellowship is a one-year training program designed to prepare candidates for a successful career in child and adolescent psychology. The fellowship will provide you with the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and researchers, participate in comprehensive individual and group supervision, and receive specialized training in behavioral parent training approaches, cognitive-behavioral interventions, and school-based behavioral intervention and consultation methods.

As a postdoctoral fellow, you will be responsible for conducting semi-structured clinical diagnostic assessments, providing evidence-based treatments to patients and families, and participating in supervision and didactic opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to give presentations at schools and local community organizations and collaborate with website writers on specific topics for the Child Mind Institute website.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct semi-structured clinical diagnostic assessments for a variety of patients
  • Provide evidence-based treatments to patients and families, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavioral parent training, and/or PCIT
  • Provide school consultation for patients and families as appropriate
  • Complete diagnostic evaluation notes, progress notes, and other clinical documentation in a timely manner
  • Provide supervision to other trainees under umbrella supervision of a licensed psychologist
  • Actively participate in supervision and didactic opportunities
Qualifications
  • Full completion of doctoral degree by the beginning of the postdoctoral fellowship
  • Successful completion of APA-accredited internship
  • Flexibility in work hours to meet productivity goals and deadlines
  • Team player and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Demonstrated professional attitude and ability to interface with senior management, clinicians, and staff
