Experienced Retaining Wall Estimator

Our company, Cowan & Thompson Construction, Inc., is seeking a skilled and experienced estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for construction projects, particularly in retaining walls and earthwork.
Responsibilities:
· Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to accurately estimate costs for retaining wall construction projects.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
· Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
· Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare detailed and competitive bids.
· Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and construction techniques to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
· Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to clarify project requirements and negotiate pricing when necessary.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry, with specific experience in estimating for retaining walls highly desirable.
· Knowledge of the Public works bidding process a plus.
· Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
