Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment for use in patient care.
  • Ensure that all instruments and supplies are properly packaged and labeled for distribution to healthcare teams.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to understand their needs and preferences for instrument preparation and sterilization.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that our instrument preparation and sterilization processes meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of instrument preparation and sterilization activities.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department preferred.
  • Sterile Reprocessing Technician certification required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and medical terminology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with healthcare teams.
