As a Senior Windows Systems Administrator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure for a classified government contract. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth system operations, supporting multiple networks, and collaborating with technical teams and management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Windows System Administration tasks within a large, classified environment.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of IT infrastructure components, including servers, desktops, and networking equipment.
  • Analyze customer requirements and propose tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Implement system enhancements designed to improve performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage critical processes such as backup, recovery, file systems, and security protocols.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, manage file permissions, and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and document comprehensive technical procedures for ongoing system maintenance and support.
  • Maintain meticulous security audit and logging records for classified systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Active DOD Top Secret level security clearance with SCI access and a recent Polygraph examination.
  • Current IAT Level II certification (Security+, CASP, CISSP, or equivalent DOD 8570 certification).
  • Proven experience in maintaining classified Windows domains.
  • Expert proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, WSUS/SCCM.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation strategies.
  • Solid understanding of desktop support and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work flexible hours as required.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience delivering technical presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
  • Active vendor-based IT certifications.
  • Proven ability to provide surge support to other programs and projects.
