Role Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as an Electronic Calibration Technician. This role involves performing both onsite and in-house calibration of various testing instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and advanced calibrations on diagnostic and measurement devices in our lab (20%) and at client locations (80%).
- Interpret and comprehend specifications and tolerances for calibration equipment.
- Apply knowledge of quality systems and standards in daily operations.
- Maintain familiarity with the laboratory's Scope of Accreditation.
- Utilize Calibration Spreadsheets effectively.
- Complete all necessary quality assurance training and documentation.
- Address customer inquiries promptly and take appropriate actions to ensure satisfaction.
- Perform maintenance on equipment and participate in internal audits and proficiency testing.
- Execute calibrations according to established procedures to meet customer requirements.
- Engage in continuous learning to enhance technical skills through self-study and training programs.
- Ensure timely turnaround on all equipment to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laboratory environment.
Equipment Expertise:
Experience with a variety of instruments, including:
- Analog and Digital Multimeters
- Frequency Counters
- Function Generators
- Oscilloscopes
- Power Supplies
- Temperature Devices
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in electronic calibration.
- Preferred educational background includes a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electronics.
- Military experience in electronics is highly regarded.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, remain stationary at a workstation, and tolerate various environmental conditions at client facilities.
