Campaign/PUP Technician Job Description

At International Auto Processing, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Campaign/PUP Technician to join our team. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the inspection and preparation of vehicles for delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough interior and exterior inspections of vehicles to identify any defects or issues.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical inspections of accessories and lights to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Complete detailed PDI check sheets and other paperwork to document the inspection process.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to identify and address any quality control issues.
  • Perform wet sanding, high-speed buffing, and polishing of vehicles to achieve a high-gloss finish.
  • Complete small paint touch-ups and repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with the detail department to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including travel to off-site facilities as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of automotive technical training or mechanical experience.
  • Valid US Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Badge) issued by the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Experience operating automatic and straight (manual) shift vehicles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in an auto port processing environment.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 40lbs.
  • Extended periods of standing, kneeling, and bending.
  • Work in varying climates and be exposed to outdoor elements such as heat, cold, rain, and other conditions.
