As a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse at SSM Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibilities will include performing procedures as a circulator, scrub, or monitor, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on the Cath Lab procedure team as circulator, scrub, or monitor.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.
  • Administer medications to patients, including critically ill patients, and report any abnormal information to physicians in a timely manner.
  • Enter patient orders and charges accurately and check for any discrepancies.
  • Provide education to patients and families based on assessed needs and document education provided.
  • Assist families to the cardiology area or Cath lab area as needed.
  • Perform point of care testing according to policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing.
  • No experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.
  • Constant standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry.
