The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN professional. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care as a team member in order to achieve established outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and document patient data in a systematic and ongoing manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
- Provide hygienic care, assist with ambulation and meals as directed by the registered professional nurse.
- Position patients, provide pre, post op and post mortem care as indicated.
- Ensure a safe patient environment by responding promptly to call lights and communicating with the RN immediately for any change in patient condition.
- Identify the needs of the patient population served and modify and deliver care that is specific to those needs.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Licensed Practical Nursing.
- Current valid New Jersey LPN license.
- Maintain current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Pay rate: Locals - $47/hr, Traveler - $20/hr + $1300/Weekly Stipend per diem
