We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Driscoll Children's Hospital. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise-wide network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, design, and implement network systems and infrastructure to support business needs
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues to ensure optimal system availability
- Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements to our network infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in network administration, with a focus on enterprise network design and implementation
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with network security tools and technologies, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Professional certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE
- Experience with cloud-based network services, including AWS or Azure
