Job Title: Social Worker Master Level Supervisor

Highland Park Community Development Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Social Worker Master Level Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Social Worker Master Level Supervisor will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing mental health conditions for homeless clients at our family shelters, consistent with the DSM 5. This role will work from a strength-based, family-focused, client-centered perspective, identifying the strengths of each client and communicating with Social Service staff to gather information related to the client's current behaviors and history.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with residents to complete a psychiatrically focused biopsychosocial summary (BPS) document.
  • Work from a strength-based, family-focused, client-centered perspective to identify client strengths.
  • Communicate with Social Service staff to gather information related to client behaviors and history.
  • Produce a narrative BPS document consistent with the format required by the Department of Homeless Services (DHS) to satisfy the Supportive Housing Application.
  • Ensure that each assessment session is documented in the CARES database system.
  • Maintain NYS Licensure to provide clinical services independently.
  • Adhere to all ethical standards in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

  • Masters' degree in Social Work, and a current license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Knowledge of DSM 5 diagnostic criteria.
  • Experience working in a mental health and/or substance use setting.
  • Strong expertise in strengths-based, solution-focused, and family-centered practice.
  • Knowledge and experience working with diverse cultures and ethnicities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Hold and submit proof of general and professional liability naming the agency and the work locations as additional insured.
  • Hold own Workers' compensation and submit proof of insured.
