Requirements:
  • NY-Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant, or Home Health Aide certification.
  • Experience assisting individuals with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous experience working with the geriatric population, providing assistance with ADLs.
  • Basic understanding of dementia, patience, and professionalism in redirecting residents.
  • Ability to adjust to different personality types and situations in a positive manner.
  • Reliability, compassion, and a gentle demeanor are essential.
  • Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm in all situations.
