Community Violence Prevention Specialist

Samaritan House is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Community Violence Prevention Specialist. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering violence prevention and bystander intervention strategies to the community at large.

About the Role:

This position is part of our Education Department and focuses on collaborative efforts to prevent violence and promote safety in our community. You will work closely with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to develop and implement effective programming that targets behaviors that contribute to violence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead workshops, training sessions, and other educational events to promote healthy relationships, bystander intervention, and social-emotional learning.">
  • Collaborate with local organizations and community groups to build partnerships and leverage resources for violence prevention initiatives.">
  • Conduct outreach and engagement activities to build trust and foster relationships with diverse communities.">

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, sociology, or psychology. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse communities.

Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.
