Role Summary:
The Principal Engineer will be an integral part of the Manufacturing Technical Support team, focusing on providing technical guidance and support for the routine production of diagnostic products. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and equipment reliability across Filling, Labeling, Packaging, Oligosynthesis, and Bulk processes, with responsibilities spanning multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage projects related to Filling, Labeling, Bulk, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Oligosynthesis, and Packaging equipment.
2. Ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards while optimizing staff and technical resources.
3. Foster a top-tier environment for the development and regulation of biological products through data analysis and process understanding.
4. Develop and implement technical engineering standards, resolving conflicts within assigned areas.
5. Serve as a consultant to management, advancing technical project proposals and chairing inter-departmental teams.
6. Engage frequently with senior technical peers, setting performance standards and influencing resource commitment.
7. Provide technical and non-technical status reports on budgets and schedules, with potential after-hours support.

Additional Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate the feasibility of online instruments for monitoring critical attributes and conduct proof-of-concept studies for new applications.
2. Identify and develop new process analytical opportunities in collaboration with various departments.
3. Lead the installation, qualification, and integration of new analyzers into process controls.
4. Manage a team of engineers, developing objectives and implementation plans while overseeing cost centers.
5. Maintain a strong organizational presence in the industry through participation in conferences and networking.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with Filling and Labeling equipment is highly preferred; knowledge of Oligosynthesis and HPLC is a plus.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities.
- Professional registration or certifications as appropriate.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this role is $126,500-$190,000 annually, with eligibility for participation in the company bonus pool and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
