Job Summary

The Program Specialist I-Doe position is responsible for providing accurate and efficient educator certification information to applicants and stakeholders via the Educator Certification Contact Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert knowledge of Florida certification laws and rules to support applicants and stakeholders by phone and email.
  • Complete accurate file documentation for telephone calls, emails, and office visitors and take appropriate follow-up actions on customer's files.
  • Provide researched responses to educator certification inquiries from applicants, institutions of higher education, and public-school educators.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance under stressful conditions.
  • Interact courteously with others and demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous contact center experience.
  • Technology and computer skills.
  • Microsoft Office experience (preferred).
