- Manage the production area effectively.
- Ensure products are manufactured and packaged in the correct quantities and meet specified standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production output and any issues encountered during shifts to facilitate smooth transitions.
- Collaborate with Machine Operators for mold changes.
- Uphold product quality standards.
- Ensure all team members adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
- Lead the team to foster efficient collaboration.
- Identify training needs and ensure staff receive appropriate training.
- Maintain adequate staffing levels to manage absenteeism and regular operations.
- Record team attendance accurately.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Participate in meetings with management to discuss production and employee concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the department.
The physical demands of this role include:
- Regularly standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally climbing.
- Frequent use of hands for handling and feeling, as well as bending and kneeling.
- Occasional sitting.
- Ability to lift and move weights ranging from 10 lbs to over 50 lbs.
- Close vision is necessary for this position.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical background in engineering preferred.
- Supervisory experience, particularly in the plastics sector, is essential.
- Strong process knowledge is advantageous.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Ability to effectively train team members.
