**Job Summary:**
We are looking for a qualified Psychologist to provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates/wards. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Psychologist, Supervisor, and/or the chief of Mental Health.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide psychological services to mentally ill inmates/wards
* Maintain order and supervise the conduct of patient-inmates/youths
* Protect and maintain the safety of persons and property
* Conduct initial mental health evaluations, including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history
* Meet with mentally ill inmates/wards for crisis intervention, group psychotherapy, face-to-face interviews, etc.
* Develop treatment plans that reflect the standard of practice
* Consult with supervisor, treatment team members, and institutional healthcare personnel
* Document all care provided to the inmate
* Monitor inmate progress using Subjective Assessment Plan Evaluation (SOAPE) FORMATTED PROGRESS NOTES

**Requirements:**

* Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in public or private institution
* Clinical competencies must be current
* Valid Photo ID, Driver's License or Passport
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association
* Valid California Psychologist license
