Opportunity for a Surgical Retina Specialist

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive academic health system in central New York, is seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist to join our staff as a Surgical Retina Specialist.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established group of 6 Ophthalmologists and 3 Optometrists in a brand-new eye clinic. The successful candidate will take over the current specialist surgical practice, working with a team of experienced support staff in both the clinic and operating room.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality surgical care to patients with retinal diseases
  • Collaborate with other specialists, including corneal, pediatric, and glaucoma specialists
  • Participate in teaching and research opportunities, if interested
  • Contribute to the development of the eye clinic and its services
Requirements
  • MD, DO, or MBBS degree
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship in Surgical Retina
  • NYS Licensure
  • BLS Certification Required
  • DEA Required
