Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team at Vaco. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the creation and management of macros.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:
Accurately process payrolls for all employees, ensuring timely and correct payment of wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions.

Data Management:
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, salary changes, deductions, and benefits.

Excel Expertise:
Utilize advanced Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and complex formulas, to analyze payroll data and generate reports.

Macro Development:
Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Excel macros to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.

Compliance:
Ensure payroll processing complies with federal, state, and local regulations, including tax filings, garnishments, and other deductions.

Reporting:
Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports to management, including detailed summaries, variance analyses, and trend reports.

Auditing:
Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Customer Service:
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional support.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, implement best practices, and participate in payroll system upgrades or changes.

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or related field preferred.

Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, with a focus on using Excel and macros.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and macro creation.
Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, or similar).

Knowledge:
Strong understanding of payroll principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Analytical Skills:
Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Communication:

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll concepts to employees at all levels.


Organizational Skills:
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of payroll information.
