About the Role

Pactiv Evergreen Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As a key member of our packaging equipment team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing packaging machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new and existing packaging machines
  • Conduct prototype testing and optimize performance
  • Support internal and external parts manufacturing personnel
  • Assist with assembly and testing of new products
  • Develop parts manuals and instruction manuals
  • Interface with vendors to specify purchased parts and coordinate testing
  • Provide technical support to field service personnel and customers
Requirements
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 4-6 years of experience or an AAS degree with concentration on Mechanical Design and 10 years related experience
  • CAD experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with people
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
