We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission to serve our community.
Responsibilities- Maintain knowledge of various oxygen delivery methods and equipment, and remain alert to potential side effects.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments, understanding their purpose and potential side effects.
- Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, performing critical care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
- Assess patient pain and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Perform arterial punctures to obtain blood samples for analysis, understanding potential complications and contraindications.
- Conduct EKGs, type and send report interpretations to physicians, and file reports according to department procedures.
- Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy
- Current CPR certification (specify BLS or ACLS)
- Three or more years of experience in cardiopulmonary services (highly preferred)
