Key Responsibilities of the Dining Services Cashier:
- Warmly greets and interacts with all members in a friendly and prompt manner.
- Effectively communicates menu options to members, showcasing a deep understanding of the offerings. Takes and prepares orders from members.
- Efficiently retrieves and delivers prepared orders to members.
- Accurately presents checks to members and processes transactions in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates genuine interest in members' needs and strives to accommodate reasonable requests.
- Maintains a clean and safe dining and work environment at all times.
- Ensures beverage and side stations are clean and free of dirty items.
- Completes necessary alcohol awareness and food safety training within the first month of employment.
- Adheres to uniform and grooming standards as outlined by the department.
- Collaborates effectively with all team members across departments.
- Available to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Follows all departmental and club policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Preferred one year of customer service experience in a casual dining environment.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of managing a diverse workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Must exhibit tact and understanding when addressing various customer service challenges.
- Willingness to provide outstanding service to members.
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for the entirety of the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 50 pounds for a significant portion of the shift.
- Engages in pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching for the majority of the shift.
- May work outdoors, including in inclement weather conditions for part of the shift.
