Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our Radiation Oncology department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiation therapy, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Verify the accuracy of patient treatment plans and deliver radiation therapy treatments according to established protocols.
- Conduct daily equipment warm-ups, weekly or bi-weekly maintenance, and perform machine output checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure accurate and complete capture of procedure and charges.
- Participate in simulation procedures, including patient set-ups, designing and fabricating patient immobilization and shielding devices, and CT set-ups when necessary.
- Provide back-up coverage for diagnostic radiography services as needed.
- Associates Degree of Applied Science or certificate in Radiological Technology with a certificate in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- Registration and Certification by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in the specific discipline of Radiation Therapy.
- Maintain licensure by the State of Mississippi.
- Maintain CPR Certification.
- Has demonstrated knowledge of serving adult and geriatric population.
