Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate/Freight Associate to join our team at Smart Foodservice Stores LLC. As a key member of our sales floor and stocking team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring accurate and efficient sales and cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service by developing and maintaining relationships with customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform sales and cash handling functions in a fast-paced retail environment, including scanning merchandise, handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including unloading trucks, rotating stock, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Participate in inventory management and cycle count processes to ensure accurate inventory levels and minimize shrinkage.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including counting cash, balancing the register, and securing the store.
  • Assist with price changes, promotions, and other sales initiatives as directed by management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve sales and customer service skills.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
  • Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with general office equipment required.
  • Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
