We are looking for a dedicated Director of Operations to oversee the comprehensive management of our multi-site food-grade and temperature-controlled distribution centers.

The Director of Operations will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight in critical areas such as food safety standards, operational excellence, performance metrics, financial management, customer engagement, and the continuous development of leadership talent within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to general managers across multiple facilities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and food-grade standards in production, storage, and distribution.
• Assess operational performance and establish both short-term and long-term objectives to achieve organizational goals.
• Oversee all aspects of warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation to meet customer and company standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing safety, service quality, and operational effectiveness.
• Implement programs to safeguard the well-being of all associates and assets.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with sales teams, general managers, customers, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience managing financial aspects such as budgeting and inventory control.
• Demonstrated success in leading multiple facilities at a director level.
• OSHA certification and expertise in regulatory compliance are essential.
• Experience in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; certification is a plus.
• AIB certification is desirable.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Strong background in customer service.
• A minimum of 10 years of operational leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced food-grade logistics environment.
• In-depth knowledge of temperature-controlled warehousing operations and consumer packaged goods distribution.
• Experience with a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics services.
• Exceptional organizational and continuous improvement skills.
• Flexibility to support operations around the clock as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficient problem-solving skills.
• A broad range of leadership capabilities, particularly in operational management, safety, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to foster growth and productivity.
• Experience with performance management systems and safety reporting is required.
