At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Structures Technician Sr., you'll play a critical role in building the next generation of reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
  • Assist with the transition from development to production, including first articles.
  • Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections to ensure compliance with engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, and other ground support equipment as required.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions, such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD.
  • Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends as needed.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience in aerospace or related fields.
  • Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate differing opinions in a collaborative environment without conflict among other team members.
  • Ability to use standard mechanical tools, fabrication shop equipment, and the capability to drill and prepare close tolerance holes for fastener installation.
  • A&P license or equivalent experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and integration.
  • Knowledge in the use of 3-D CAD tools to view models for assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and standards.
  • Ability to support Friday, Saturday, Sunday 12 hrs and additional weekend overtime as requested.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in launch vehicle or propulsion system assembly and vehicle integration.
  • Experience with composite and metallic structure fabrication, such as precision drilling, cutting, and assembly.
  • Experience with hand drilling and power feed drills.
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts, around flight-critical hardware.
  • Familiarity with tooling jigs.
