Assistant Athletic Trainer

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing athletic training services to Clarkson University student-athletes. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work closely with the Head Athletic Trainer to ensure the health and well-being of student-athletes. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Athletic Training and be certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, care, and rehabilitation.

• Work with the Head Athletic Trainer to develop and implement athletic training programs for student-athletes.

• Evaluate and treat injuries, and provide referrals to medical professionals as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of student-athlete injuries and treatments.

• Collaborate with coaches and other athletic staff to ensure the health and well-being of student-athletes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.

• NATABOC certification.

• 1-3 years of experience in athletic training, preferably in a collegiate setting.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to be flexible with scheduling. The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be required to work evenings and weekends, and may be required to travel to away games and tournaments.
