We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse II to join our team at Albany Medical Center. This role is ideal for individuals who possess excellent patient care skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse II will work in our busy Medical Surgical Unit, providing direct patient care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Evaluating diagnostic tests and assessing patients' conditions to inform treatment decisions
  • Assessing and evaluating patient needs, responding to changes in condition, and adapting care accordingly
  • Collaborating with nursing teams to create patient-centered plans of care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current license to practice nursing in New York State
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar healthcare setting
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
