Optometrist

The Optometrist will conduct comprehensive eye exams for Acuity Eyecare Group and strive to practice to the full capacity of their license.

• Conducting thorough eye exams to diagnose sight problems and eye diseases
• Establishing long-term patient relationships through proper patient care and education
• Performing verbal interviews with patients to determine their health and ocular history, medical issues, and visual wants and needs
• Instructing and advising patients on their options for remediation of ametropias, systemic and ocular disease, and visual wants and needs
• Prescribing eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed
• Providing pre- and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery
• Evaluating patients for the presence of diseases such as diabetes and referring them to other healthcare providers as necessary
• Promoting eye health by counseling patients on how to clean and wear contact lenses, how often to have their eyes examined, and other eye care best practices

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution
• Must have passed all optometric state boards
