As an integral part of the Safety & Security division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a secure environment for both students and staff while managing security operations and conducting essential investigations.
POSITION SUMMARY
Accountable for collaborating with the safety and security team to foster a safe and secure environment for students and staff. Oversees security operations and employs sound judgment and discretion to address student and staff concerns. Conducts investigations into accidents and incidents with the aim of resolution and prevention of future occurrences.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION
May oversee Safety & Security personnel and act as the interim Safety & Security Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Adheres to all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring no manipulation of student data.
o Collaborates with Residential Living, Recreation, and Safety and Security teams to guarantee effective supervision of the student body. Provides oversight and coverage in dormitories, at the Welcome Center/Security Gate, in recreational areas, on the grounds, and other designated locations.
o Aids the Safety & Security Department in maintaining a secure environment.
o Ensures compliance with PRH and OSHA safety and health regulations.
o Meets DOL/Company reporting obligations.
o Participates in student/staff safety recognition programs.
o Compiles, analyzes, and summarizes safety & security data, taking appropriate actions to address issues and concerns.
o Coordinates staff coverage to ensure supervision of student areas.
o Guarantees adherence to rest and meal break requirements by all staff.
o Conducts and documents comprehensive safety and accident prevention training across the Center.
o Conducts and documents incident and accident investigations in accordance with established timelines and requirements.
o Ensures compliance with all PRH and other DOL, Job Corps, and Company safety directives and requirements.

o Conducts regular safety inspections and assessments of all Center facilities and equipment to identify potential safety and security risks.
o Responsible for Center security, visitor management, and student accountability.
o Ensures compliance with the Center's Environmental Health Program.
o Produces high-quality work and completes assignments in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner.
o Maintains appropriate attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
o Plans, prioritizes, and organizes tasks to meet established objectives and deadlines.
o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively fulfill all required responsibilities.
o Proactively maintains the skills necessary to perform job duties.
o Mentors, monitors, and exemplifies the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
o Provides exemplary supervision and management for the student population, positively influencing student behavior. Demonstrates respect and courtesy to students while holding them accountable for their actions.
o Offers timely operational support for Center activities to ensure quality programs and services. Seeks improvements in Center operations to achieve program goals.
o Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts by sharing relevant insights and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes, and evaluates appropriate solutions before taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken and that issues are resolved.
o Collaborates with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in military, law enforcement, safety, or security is required. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability standards. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or assess the lift load to request necessary assistance.
