We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Rapides Regional Physician Group – Women's Health Clinic. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as directed by physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures using advanced equipment and technology.
- Schedule patients for diagnostic imaging procedures and ensure timely completion of tests.
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure cooperation and optimal test results.
- Position patients and select the appropriate transducer for each procedure.
- Conduct scanning procedures using ultrasound equipment and adjust settings as needed.
- Make hard copy images and document test results.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Develop film using automatic film processing equipment.
- Perform other duties as required to support the diagnostic imaging department.
- Minimum one year experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer.
- Certification in diagnostic ultrasound in accordance with state regulations.
- Knowledge of ultrasound diagnostic procedures and ability to operate equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively under stress.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with patients and colleagues.
