Key Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, you will perform a comprehensive range of skilled diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on automobiles and light trucks. Your duties will include:
- Conducting scheduled preventive maintenance, including oil changes, chassis lubrication, and tune-ups.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting automotive malfunctions.
- Inspecting, adjusting, and repairing various automotive systems such as brakes, ignitions, and suspensions.
- Repairing and replacing electronic components, including starters and alternators.
- Maintaining air conditioning, heating, and cooling systems.
- Preparing new vehicles for service by installing specialized equipment.
Additional Duties:
Operating equipment to tow disabled vehicles and performing other related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of three years of automotive repair and maintenance experience. Relevant training may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
Licenses and Certifications:
A valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial class C is required. Some positions may necessitate a commercial class B license and a current Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Applicants will be evaluated based on their training and experience as detailed in their application. Clear and complete descriptions of past and present experience are essential for evaluation.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves heavy physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy objects, and may require overtime with little notice.
Background Investigation:
Successful candidates must complete an employment investigation, including checks of criminal background, education, and fingerprinting.
