About the Position:

The Cardiac Telemetry Clinical Nurse Coordinator is a critical role at St. David's North Austin Medical Center, where you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during designated shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to optimize efficient throughput and patient-centered care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with management team members.
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service through collaboration with subject matter experts and other managers.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy, engaging in service recovery when necessary.
  • Contribute to facility engagement efforts by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Recommend staff development, training, conflict resolution, and performance evaluations to ensure a competitive organization.
  • Manage staff scheduling, labor, and inventory control in accordance with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 1 year of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse license
  • Associate Degree, Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
