Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer for Design Readiness

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Newton, MA. As a key member of our R&D organization, you will play a critical role in the development of our next-generation robotic platform for healthcare.

Job Summary:

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electro-mechanical medical devices. You will work closely with our manufacturing engineering team to ensure seamless transition from prototype to verification and clinical builds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical assemblies and components for medical devices
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to ensure design readiness and transfer to production
  • Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and Design Master Record (DMR)
  • Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems
  • Specify electrical, firmware, and software development requirements for testing and building fixtures
  • Author relevant documents, including build process, assembly instructions, inspection procedures, test protocols, and system documentation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Robotics or Mechatronics or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in medical device development, design transfer, and process validation
  • Minimum 5 years experience in analog and digital circuit design, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting electronics
  • Minimum 5 years experience in design for testing and design for manufacturability
  • Minimum 5 years experience in systems engineering approaches and design control for medical devices
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with developing test applications or firmware with MATLAB Simulink
