About the Role

Houston Community College (HCC) is seeking a skilled Captioning Specialist to join our team. As a Captioning Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our students with hearing impairments have equal access to our academic programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide captioning services for HCC events and classes
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure accessibility of course materials
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in captioning and accessibility
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certification in Captioning and/or CART services required
  • Minimum of four or more (4+) years of directly related experience required
