Key Responsibilities- Implement nursing care plans and provide basic nursing care to patients in stable conditions
- Observe patients for changes in physical and/or mental status and report significant changes to the healthcare team
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians and document procedures
- Transcribe physicians' orders and record patient information on charts and other records
- Participate in change of shift reports and request stock medications and supplies as needed
- Possession of a valid Louisiana license or temporary permit to practice practical nursing or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
