Job Description

We are seeking a Soils Technician with at least 1 year of experience in testing and observing the placement of compacted fill, grading, and preparing field reports. The ideal candidate will have expertise in plotting density test results and salary commensurate with experience.

Salary: Commensurate with experience, estimated to be around $65,000-$85,000 per year based on industry standards and location in southern California.

Responsibilities
  • Test and observe the placement of compacted soils and rock fill using sand cone and/or nuclear density gauge methods.
  • Compile test results, read plans, and write clear and concise field reports.
  • Work on projects throughout southern California with a focus on San Diego County.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Soils Technician.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy samples and equipment over rough terrain.
  • Driver's license and clean driving record.
