Job Title: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse

Bluebird Staffing is seeking a skilled Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to work in our Med Surg / Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med Surg and Telemetry, with experience in cardiac monitoring and emergency response. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to Med Surg and Telemetry patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms, including arrhythmias and cardiac arrest.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in Med Surg and Telemetry.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Alabama.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends.

Unit Information:

The Med Surg / Telemetry unit is a 32-bed unit that cares for patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, including nephrology, telemetry, and dialysis patients. The unit is fast-paced and requires a high level of skill and expertise. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Shift Information:

The shift for this position is 4x12-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend required. The shift schedule is 18:00-07:15, with a 30-minute break in the middle of the shift. The ideal candidate will be able to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
