Healthcare Scheduling Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Experience Coordinator to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a vital member of the Access Department, you will be responsible for creating seamless patient experiences through expert scheduling and coordination. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create optimal patient schedules, considering patient needs, provider availability, and clinic capacity.
- Develop and implement effective scheduling processes to improve patient flow and reduce wait times.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve scheduling conflicts, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to patient care.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends and areas for process improvement, recommending changes to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or Equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
- 2 years relevant experience required; Access Associate fully cross-trained to cover multiple specialties considered in lieu of experience.
- No licensure required.
Physical Demands
- Sitting for prolonged periods, repetitive motion (computer and mouse use), and adequate auditory and visual skills required.
Estimated Salary Range: $17.31 - $26.83 Hourly
