We are seeking a skilled Radiologist Physician to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs. This is a unique opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a difference in the lives of our nation's heroes.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing around-the-clock imaging interpretation services to remote client locations. They will interpret diagnostic digital radiography, CT, MRI, and US examinations of various body parts, including the head, spine, neck, body, extremities, and internal organs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality imaging interpretation services to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Interpret and report on complex medical images, utilizing advanced knowledge of radiology and anatomy.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and medical findings.
Requirements
To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or have permission to work in the United States.
- Hold a degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Be licensed to practice medicine in the state where the facility is located.
- Have completed residency training in a relevant specialty, such as radiology.
- Be proficient in spoken and written English.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with certification by the American Board of Radiology or subspecialty certification in a related field are preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $250,000 - $350,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
This is a full-time position, working 12 hours per day, 7 days on duty, followed by 7 days off. The actual tour of duty will be negotiable.
