Maintenance Director

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing maintenance procedures, tracking budgets, and performing inspections to identify and address any issues.

• Train and supervise maintenance staff
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the maintenance department
• Perform general maintenance projects, including installations and repairs
• Negotiate contracts with outside vendors
• Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems
• Implement workplace safety policies and standards
• Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs
• Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules
• Develop maintenance procedures and schedules
• Ensure maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner

• Extensive knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Familiarity with drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
• Effective communication and people management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify issues and determine repairs
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems
• Excellent management and supervisory skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, administration, or facility management
• At least five years of maintenance experience required
