Medical Scribe Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe Assistant to join our team at Helix Scribe Solutions. As a Medical Scribe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters and maintaining accurate medical records.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) to document patient encounters from start to finish.
- Ensure medical record compliance by updating patient history and other pertinent medical information.
- Prepare and complete charts for review and approval by healthcare providers.
- Maintain and organize multiple patient charts simultaneously.
- Comply with client and Helix policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission regulations.
- Work closely with administrative teams to improve provider productivity and workflow.
- Able to pass the Scribe Proficiency Assessment.
- High school diploma required; college students with a pre-health career track preferred.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy preferred.
- Able to type 60+ WPM with 80% accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and instruction.
- Ability to work 15-20 hours/week (part-time) or 32-40 hours/week (full-time) for at least 1 year.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
