Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Substitute to support our Mandarin Chinese Immersion program. The successful candidate will provide instructional support to students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide instructional support to students in small groups and one-on-one settings under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Supervise students during recess and the teacher's lunch break and prep period.
- Assist the licensed teacher in classroom management and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Demonstrated language proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Experience working with school-age children.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect student privacy.
- Excellent organizational skills, punctuality, and efficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent human relations and oral communication skills.
The Paraprofessional Substitute will work in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment, supporting students in a Mandarin Chinese Immersion program. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
