Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechatronic systems for aerospace applications, utilizing expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, perform feasibility studies, and generate technical specifications.
  • Integrate mechanical, electrical, and software components to create fully functional prototypes and production systems.
  • Conduct simulations, testing, and validation of mechatronic systems to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing systems to enhance performance and address any issues.
  • Document designs, processes, and test results to ensure thorough records for future reference and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechatronics and related technologies to drive innovation within the company.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechatronics engineering, preferably within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, electronics, control systems, and software integration.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
  • Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and compliance requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be US Citizens with no known issues that would prevent them from obtaining security clearance.
