Firefighter Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled Firefighter Paramedic to join our team at Henry County, GA. As a Firefighter Paramedic, you will be responsible for administering emergency medical care to patients, operating fire apparatus and equipment, and maintaining a state of constant readiness for emergency response.

• Administer basic life rescue duties, including first aid, CPR, and medical treatment.
• Provide advanced emergency medical care to injured and sick persons, including conducting physical examinations, obtaining medical histories, and formulating treatment plans.
• Communicate with medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities, obtain instructions regarding further treatment, and arrange for reception of patients at treatment facilities.
• Maintain a state of constant readiness and preparation for emergency response, including checking and maintaining stock of equipment and supplies on emergency vehicles.
• Respond to emergency calls for fire suppression, medical assistance, hazardous materials incidents, motor vehicle accidents, natural disasters, explosions, bomb threats, downed power lines, and other emergency situations.

• High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical EMT/Paramedic training.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License (CDL) including appropriate endorsement(s).
• Must complete Firefighter I certification within twelve (12) months of hire, and possess and maintain certification as a Paramedic in the state of Georgia.
