Fire Sprinkler System Inspector

Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services, a subsidiary of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Company, is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and residential properties.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire codes, safety standards, and manufacturer's requirements.
- Identify and document any deficiencies, impairments, or code violations within the fire sprinkler systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on fire sprinkler systems as needed.
- Create detailed inspection reports outlining findings, actions taken, and recommendations for corrective measures.
- Communicate with building owners, managers, and contractors to discuss inspection findings and remediation plans.
- Keep accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs performed.
- Stay up to date with changes in fire codes and industry standards.
- Participate in training programs and obtain required certifications to maintain qualifications.
- Assist in developing and implementing inspection schedules and maintenance programs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in fire protection systems preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience inspecting fire sprinkler systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes and standards.
- Licensing or certification as a Fire Sprinkler Inspector may be required, depending on jurisdiction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and different weather conditions.
